| Off-the-wallness – Not very off the wall really - all of my results always came out negative it's a fact of scientific life. The only difference is that I have no compunction to tell everyone else about them. |  |
| Usefulness – If you're a scientist then it's got to be essential reading, otherwise you'll head up the same blind alley as lots of other poor buggers. If you're not a scientist then chances are that nothing would interest you less. |  |
| Impressiveness – "I did an experiment. It didn't work." Not good. |  |
