Peculiar Periodicals

It turns out there are even more unlikely publications than The Journal of Unlikely Science.
Every Thursday, our very own Dr Steer turns his attention to another weird science journal.

This week: ADDICTION ABSTRACTS

Name – Cleverly manages to be weirdly abstract in just two words. I can only assume this is where you send in accounts of acid trips. Nice.
Click to enlarge Front cover – I can think of little that could be less hallucinogenic. Bad form.
Off-the-wallness – The purpose of the journal is to gather summaries of all the research about addiction into one place, and then smoke it.
Usefulness – A great idea for anyone needing a quick fix of science - find papers about any drug you want to know about in completely unintelligible sci-speak.
Impressiveness – There are more drugs in one place here than even the most expanded of consciousnesses could comprehend.
             -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall - It's amazing what you can do if you just put your mind around it.

Impact factor: It'll knock your socks off.
