Peculiar Periodicals

It turns out there are even more unlikely publications than The Journal of Unlikely Science.
Every Thursday, our very own Dr Steer turns his attention to another weird science journal.

This week: TEXTUAL PRACTICE

Name – Ooo missus, are you trying to be a bit cheeky? You little tease.
Click to enlarge Front cover – Apart from really dull, what is this?  Nothing, that's what. Must try harder. Just because you're feeling all textual, doesn't mean you can avoid giving us pictures.
Off-the-wallness – "Since its launch in 1987, Textual Practice has been Britain's principal international journal of radical literary studies" - need I say more?
Usefulness – "Since its launch in 1987, Textual Practice has been Britain's principal international journal of radical literary studies" - yep, that pretty much answers it again.
Impressiveness – These are probably some of the best-read people in the world. And there are articles on the literary prowess of Dr Seuss. Anyone who can make their living reading Green Eggs and Ham deserves our respect.
             -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall - The sheer textuality has got me all confused - I just can think straight.

Impact factor: Sharp. Right in the nuts.
