Bigfoot: alive and well in suburbia?

Sasquatch are a large, hairy human or ape-like biped, around seven to ten feet tall, most famously spotted by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin in their 1967 film. There are numerous theories as to the origin of Sasquatch, some believing they are the descendents of the Neanderthals.

Also referred to by well-known names such as Bigfoot, the Abominable Snowman, Yeti and Yowie, this species of cryptid seems to pop up all over the world. The global spread and consistency of these sightings seem to encourage cryptozoologists in the possibility of their existence.

However, no tangible evidence has ever been verified, most of it being found to be fake – including that famous film clip.

Most likely to be: A combination of funny light, overactive imaginations and lumberjacks
