Peculiar Periodicals

Peculiar Periodicals

It turns out there are even more unlikely publications than The Journal of Unlikely Science.
Every Thursday, our very own Dr Steer turns his attention to another weird science journal.

This week: JOURNAL OF POETRY THERAPY

Name – I thought I had misheard, for this journal's quite absurd. They're using rhyme, all the time, to try and cure our hurts.
Click to enlarge Front cover – It's quite an offensive pink, written in nasty purple ink. These kings of letters could do much better, I would like to think.
Off-the-wallness – You try to help my brain using poems to sooth the pain. I have to say, at the end of the day, you're totally insane.
Usefulness – The world upon me weighed, so I came to you for aid. But your literary cures just hurt me more, look at the mess you made.
Impressiveness – To cure my infirmity with Wordsworth, Keats & Shelley, would be amazing, quite life-changing, but I'd have to see it to believe.
             -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Overall Ooooh - I feel better already.

Impact factor: it doesn't have an impact factor - modern poets abhor violence.
