Hot air sunshade Hot air sunshade

Bizarre patent #367: a sunshade. Billed as ‘a flat balloon like structure’, it consists of two sheets sealed at the edges, enabling it to be filled with helium or hot air.

It’s then attached to you (or another surface) with cables or flexible connectors, and you’re free to stroll in the sunshine. You might look a bit silly, but its a small price to pay for skin protection.

So on the occasions when it’s sunny and you need both hands whilst being outdoors, holding a parasol just isn’t very practical and a sun hat can get in the way, consider the helium sunshade - thousands wouldn’t.
