Gender Wars Part I Gender Wars Part I

The battle of the sexes has raged for millennia.  And no matter how hard we may try, it's impossible not to take sides.

We asked Null writers Hannah Isom and Neal Anthwal to fight their respective corners.  Unsurprisingly, Neal addressed such matters as why a woman couldn't navigate herself out of a box, whilst Hannah's thoughts turned to the perennial problem of men's listening and interpreting skills.*  Click on their names to read more.

Thankfully no one was harmed in the writing of these articles, however, we should point out that if you are in any way offended by the use of blatant sexism in support of a (barely) scientific argument, you may want to look away now.  Perhaps you'd like to see some gender related trivia instead (below).

Some gender related trivia:

  • Men and women differ by just 78 genes.
  • In medieval France, the punishment for an adulterous wife was having to chase a chicken through the town - naked.
  • 77% of women say they find it endearing if their men are willing to show a softer side.  Read more on this here.
  • More than 90% of sexual encounters between chickens are instigated by the male.
  • Women can use sex to get what they want. Men cannot - sex is what they want.

*Neal was asked to address this same problem, but whether he ignored our request, didn't listen or simply misinterpreted it, he's come up with something entirely different - albeit very entertaining.
