Is Gorbachev the Antichrist?

Seemingly back in the late eighties a group of evangelists took seriously the idea that Mikhail Gorbachev was the Antichrist himself. Massaging obscure passages of the bible into even more obscure statistics, nuclear engineer Robert Faid calculated the probability that this was indeed true.

His figure of a 1 in 710,609,175,188,282,100 chance seemed to leave little possibility that the Soviet leader was indeed going to turn round to the world one day and declare that he was Lucifer, but that didn’t stop Faid writing a book about it. Seriously, you can check it out here and even buy it if you like. However, by all accounts it’s a little bit balmy and a big bit rubbish, so it may not be worthwhile.
