The Power of Dance
Always in search of the latest gadget and gizmo, the Null's Andrew Impey gets down and dirty to give you one less thing to worry about should you be off to Glastonbury this year. You'll find it really useful, it's great fun and you don't need batteries; but you will build up quite a sweat in the process. Intrigued?
Right, so you're off to Glastonbury and it’s going to be awesome. Just a few last minute checks, have we got everything? You’ve got the tent; the toilet roll; ciggies; hidden booze; tickets; wellies; shades; stupid hat; torch; bin liners; emergency ciggies; phone charger... Hang on, hang on, you can't take a phone charger to a festival; you're in the middle of a ruddy great big field.
But how in God's name are you supposed to cope if the phone runs out? Fear not, because mobile phone operator Orange has teamed up with GotWind, a firm specializing in renewable energy, to produce a recharger powered by dancing.

Yep, that’s right, should your beloved mobile run out of juice and you just can’t bear to go a nano-second without its vibrating company, you can simply strap a kinetic energy charger to your arm, plug it into your phone and away you go.
The charger, which is roughly the size of a pack of cards, employs a system of weights and magnets which provide an electric current to top up charge in a storage battery. Panic over.
